GG may well have stood in Bethnal Green because it was a largely Muslim area. His anti-war stance and constiuency choice is consistent with the concept of finding like minded voters to represent, which is a common feature of our political system and is more intelligent than JP's ridiculous question.

If this is supposed to be the face of serious political journalism on TV we may as well all stay drunk, employ JP as the political correspondent of the Sunday Sport and be fascinated by mobile phones and expensive trainers instead.

Thank goodness ordinary people are beginning to see beyond the constant rubbish the media feeds us and wake up to the real political questions about the nature of our so called "democracy" and where it needs vast improvement.

Ouch — a decreased majority, the loss of key seats, and George Galloway

Thursday night proved to be more interesting than perhaps had previously been expected. True, Labour have been returned to power for a third term, which is a remarkable achievement in itself, and there is plenty to be proud of. What Labour now face, ...

It was very uncomfortable, but whether you think he's right or wrong, Paxman has a point and a very watchable way of making it!
